Ms. Parrish, a speech-language pathologist at Morehead Montessori, helps children with communication challenges by supporting their ability to understand, speak, and express themselves in various ways. She works with students individually, addressing needs like articulation, listening, and following instructions. She uses tools such as communication devices, visuals, and gestures to aid those who struggle with speech. Her approach is not to teach "proper" communication but to help children discover their unique ways of expressing themselves. Ms. Parrish values every attempt at communication, celebrating even the smallest progress, as her ultimate goal is to empower students to communicate confidently, regardless of the form it takes.

The process of shooting was a significant challenge for me, with problems like blurry pictures, bad lighting, and focus issues constantly arising. However, I was fortunate to have Professor Susie by my side, helping me improve and guiding me through these difficulties. I am also deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with Ms. Meleah Parrish, who gave me a comprehensive understanding of her work and introduced me to an aspect of school life I had never encountered before. This experience was truly inspirational and shifted my perspective on the world. I am thankful for the encounters and mistakes that helped shape my journey, especially as I began my college life.
